Integrated Health & Dignity Campaign 2026: Doukoula & Kar-Hay

Building health, restoring dignity, strengthening community. A humanitarian initiative led by Marie-Noëlle Graobé, Founder of GRAOBÉ.

The GRAOBÉ Integrated Health and Dignity Campaign 2026 continues the major mission conducted in Doukoula in April 2025, which provided free medical care to over 400 people. The goal: to bring life, light and hope to thousands of women, children and elderly people.

Why?

The Far North region — particularly Doukoula, Kar-Hay and Tchatibali — faces multiple challenges:

• High prevalence of malaria and infectious diseases
• Acute shortage of medical staff and equipment
• Chronic poverty, food insecurity and isolated villages
• Low school enrolment, especially for girls
• Marginalisation of women and the elderly

Planned activities

• Health: malaria testing, general and eye consultations, corrective glasses, medicines, health education
• Education & youth: 300 school kits, leadership, hygiene, values and dream-building workshops, listening sessions for children
• Protection & dignity: awareness sessions against violence towards women, essential products, a “Women & Dignity” space
• Logistics: 5 solar streetlights, 100 wheelchairs, 20 hospital beds

Expected results

• 3,000 direct beneficiaries
• 30% reduction in malaria cases
• Improved access to healthcare and better school attendance
• Stronger community cohesion

Implementation

Coordinated by GRAOBÉ Association, in collaboration with municipalities, traditional chiefs and health districts, with the involvement of local women and the Cameroonian diaspora. Post-campaign follow-up is provided by local hospitals and prepares the future GRAOBÉ Health & Dignity Center in Doukoula.
