Our story
About GRAOBÉ Association
GRAOBÉ's story was born from an intimate wound: the silent struggle of its founder's mother, a widow left to rejection and injustice. From that pain came a certainty: no one should face vulnerability alone. GRAOBÉ is that promise kept. It is the voice of those who go unheard, a hand extended to widows, children and vulnerable women, a presence where everyone else walks away.

Our work
Our programs
Targeted initiatives for lasting impact in health, education and community resilience.
Support for widows and orphans
Welcome, support and psychosocial care for bereaved families. We distribute food and clothing and provide temporary shelter to those who have lost everything.
School campaigns (Back-to-school)
Distribution of complete school kits to orphaned and vulnerable children. We believe education is every child's fundamental right and the key to breaking the cycle of poverty.
Health campaigns
Free medical consultations in remote rural areas. During the April 2025 campaign in Doukoula and Kar-Hay, we treated malnutrition, malaria, gastric disorders, glaucoma and colic. The Kar-Hay district hospital — the only referral hospital in the area — has a single doctor for tens of thousands of people.
Women's empowerment
Vocational training in sewing, hairdressing and income-generating activities. A concrete example: a woman on crutches, rejected by her family, was trained in sewing by the founder's mother. She built a family, raised her children and now teaches other women. GRAOBÉ carries this model forward.
Protection & Dignity
Awareness sessions against violence towards women, distribution of essential products and creation of a “Women & Dignity” space. We also support women who want to leave a violent situation.
Mentorship & Leadership
Leadership, personal development, youth inspiration and support for women: we help everyone believe in their dreams and become a changemaker in their community.
